Absolutely loving my new chunky boots which arrived this morning. Chunky, combat style boots have taken this season by storm and are set to become a wardrobe essential. They can be dressed in numerous ways and I’m planning on wearing them with flares and a biker jacket, as well as short skirts and midi dresses!
I have to admit though, that at first I wasn’t at all convinced, as I thought they would make my legs look stompy and short and worried that they might be heavy and cumbersome. However I took the plunge and haven’t looked back since. Chunky boots first appeared on the catwalk last year and many thought that they would quickly disappear, however they have come back even stronger this year.

Chunky boots will be one of the hottest trends for the winter this year! They have been spotted all over the runways and have cascaded down to the high street. Their popularity is due to the fact that they look cool, give you height, whilst being super comfortable. They come in all styles such as the high leg Chelsea to wellingtons and equestrian styles. They come in an array of colours, shapes and styles such as vintage, grunge, platform, flat, knee high, ankle and mid leg.
These boots tick all the boxes! Chunky but with a feminine twist! I’m totally in love with them. Whichever angle you look at them, the design, the height of the heel and the super comfy leather is an absolute winner! I think these will be in my wardrobe for many years to come.

These boots have a high platform style but are still chunky in style. They complete this outfit by creating a really fashionable and cool look.

Fantastic edgy look teamed with jeans.
Simply throw on a dress, jeans or even a tutu and style it with chunky boots to get the perfect balance of mixing classic style with a tougher staple.

Chunky boots make legs look slimmer, with short skirts, shorts and dresses. They are the perfect silhouette to balance out micro hemlines for the autumn. They are a cool way of pulling off shorts too.
The ideal wardrobe item for those chilly autumnal days, paired with a denim or a biker jacket. Black boots look great with black tights or thick socks for that relaxed look, whilst keeping your feet warm and dry.
This years fashion shows were teaming with chunky boots. Alexander McQueen styled many of his outfits with edgy boots, in a variety of colours and styles. The celebrity packed front row were thrilled during the brands fashion show in London this year, where a rooftop stage showcased models stomping down the cat walk in chunky boots.
Heavy duty lug- soles remain all the rage among the fashion crowd who make them work for summer, as well as winter. Bella Hadid, Rosie Huntington, Kaia Gerber and many others have been spotted wearing them, street style. They are absolutely everywhere. Take the plunge and have fun styling. You simply can’t go wrong.
