My name is Amrit Roshan and I am a Personal Stylist. I have studied with The British College of Professional Photo, Film, TV and Personal Styling and now work with clients, providing a bespoke one to one service in central London.
I love working with people in a variety of settings, be it creating a wardrobe to suit my clients lifestyle and making them feel wonderful, working within the fashion industry creating the perfect style make- over and photo shoot, creating brand awareness through flat lays, creating genre specific styled costumes for TV, film and theatre, fashion critiquing on trends and styles, and fashion journalism, focusing on industry trends and events, and fashion history.
Projects
Highlighted below are some of the styling projects I have carried out in a variety of settings.
I am experienced in working with clients of all ages, carrying out wardrobe edits, colour and body analysis and creating capsule wardrobes suited to their lifestyles.

Wardrobe Edits and the creation of capsule wardrobes
My lovely client below recently graduated from university and needed a capsule wardrobe that would transform her from university student to young health professional.

Following a body and colour analysis, a wardrobe edit and clean out was conducted. It was really exciting working with my client and planning for her new lifestyle through, completing her wardrobe assessment, creating wardrobe themes and a capsule wardrobe. We created four stylish, interchangeable looks for her professional life.

Upgrading Brand Visuals with Flat Lays
I can create unique eye-catching flat lays for fashion magazines, Instagram and other media that are visually appealing. Flat lays have to be balanced in a composition by the sensitive use of props that can help to create aesthetically pleasing pictures, capturing the consumers imagination, for exploring the individual items in greater detail.
This flat lay demonstrates a chic image, a wonderful sophisticated lifestyle, by the use of props.
A classic tweed dress, a wardrobe staple, is paired with a beautiful timeless cream silk blouse, exuding style and elegance, a dress that can also be paired with many other tops, such as the green one, creating a pop of colour! The image creates a lifestyle, with the accessories and allows the reader to imagine themselves creating different looks with the tweed dress and draws them into exploring product details.

Style Make overs and photo shoots
I have worked with many individuals in helping them to improve their personal style through wardrobe edits, creating capsule wardrobes and outfits to suit their lifestyle.
I had the opportunity to work with a lovely young mum who has two young children and needed styling advice on creating several different looks, including outfits for a holiday, an glamorous evening out and an Asian wedding. We started off by completing a questionnaire which provided me with information on my clients lifestyle, likes and dislikes, color palette and body shape. We then went shopping and created the following looks. My client was overjoyed with her make over.

Creation of TV, film and theatre genre specific styles.
I have used personal styling in creating TV, film and theatre genre specific styles for a modern day ‘Sandy’ from the movie Grease.
The aim of this project was to create styles for a modernised version of the character ‘Sandy’ from the movie Grease. This involved researching the character in detail, compiling visual information about the film, including political, social and economic issues, season and climate, fashion and art.
The images below highlight the transition of a ‘good girl’ persona, which develops into a bolder one, along with her personality.

Fashion critiquing on celebrity trends and styles.
The aim of this project was to identify what elements of a styled concept I admire and don’t admire by providing an analysis of each style and effectively communicating my ideas on design, taste, style and form. Personal Stylists have to work with a vast array of individuals from different settings and it’s important to be objective about fashion.

These four celebrity icons are known for their fashion style. With Angelina Jolie top left in a stunning silk shirt and leather skirt, black stilettos, a pop of colour through a stunning green necklace, smooth blow dry and smokey eye make up. This look is timeless and sophisticated and inspires women of all ages. She exudes style and sensuality with the leather skirt and black pumps.
Kim Khadasian top right and bottom left, is a fashion icon and inspires many women, although not to everyone’s taste, her style has evolved over the years She is a style chameleon, always trying new looks and often trying extreme styles. Her look is all about looking sexy, through body-con skirts, dresses, corset tops and figure hugging trousers, showing off her stunning assets.
However the choice of the outfits may not be highlighting her features to best affect, as the skirt in the picture bottom left looks like it’s been made from a poor quality fabric as it’s not sitting correctly, or moving with her. Also it’s fairly transparent, which isn’t flattering, even if this was intentional.
In the top right image, the skirt exaggerates her hips in a way that feels unbalanced, and the draping appears awkward, lacking the refinement expected from a well-tailored piece.
However, her hair is consistently immaculate — whether styled in voluminous curls or sleek, straight looks — and her makeup is always expertly applied, highlighting her flawless skin and drawing attention to her eyes with precision and elegance.
Although her style may not resonate with everyone, she has a massive following on Instagram and other platforms. Her image plays a powerful role in encouraging curvier women to embrace their bodies and wear figure-hugging clothes with confidence and pride — challenging traditional beauty standards and promoting self-expression without judgement.
Amal Clooney, bottom right, has a wonderful personal style, combining stunning professional chic, daytime playfulness and glamorous evening looks. she always looks beautifully finished and her sweeping hair is always coffered, with subtle make up.
She always accessorises her outfits with bags and shoes to complement the overall look. She has great appeal for her sense of style, as well as the fact that she’s a human rights lawyer and that she’s married to George Clooney, all of which strengthen her appeal to women of all ages.

Fashion Journalism
I have experience of fashion journalism, focusing on trends and events, a knowledge of fashion history and industry trends.
This project breaks down the fashion of today to show that designers often look to the past for their design inspiration.
Karl Lagerfeld used inspiration from Ancient Egypt women’s costumes for Chanel’s pre-fall 2019 M’etiers d’ Art collection, as demonstrated by the below. He incorporated a simple tunic style dress, decorated all over with a woven pattern and complemented this with heavy jewelry. These designs and fashion features can clearly be seen in wall paintings from ancient Egypt.
In 2011 Jean- Paul Gaultier exhibited an Ancient Greek inspired white gown, demonstrated below, in a beautiful contemporary way. The Greeks were masters of flowing and ethereal draping as highlighted below by the chiton, kept in place by a belt. Both gowns have many similarities, both are beautifully draped and pleated across the body and come in at the waist, with a belt, girdle or corset. The juxtaposition of flowing movement and hugging of the body, tailored draping, simple, yet cleverly hugging the curves of the body and creating an awe of sexuality.

Testimonials
Here are some testimonials from clients I have worked with:
‘Amrit helped me to create the perfect capsule wardrobe. Having left university, I was nervous to start a professional career and change my look but Amrit put me at ease. She was passionate and made my fashion transformation so exhilarating. I was so impressed with the way she identified my body shape and found clothes that complimented me perfectly. I feel so confident in my new outfits, whilst still feeling as though I’ve kept my own personality and fun. I’ve had so many compliments and would recommend Amrit to everyone!’
Suzy University Graduate.
After having had a baby, I felt helpless with fashion. I didn’t know which clothes would work with my body shape and I’d lost interest in fashion as a whole. Amrit has changed my entire outlook. I loved the colour analysis she performed for me. She revamped my wardrobe and rested the perfect fusion of English and Indian outfits. I loved working with Amrit. I’ve feel like I’ve got a new lease of life and a new zest for styling and fashion. I feel so confident. Would recommend 10/10!’
